Paramount Youth Organization's mission is to prevent delinquency and reduce juvenile recidivism by creating a supportive continuum of care focused on strengthening the mind, body, and character of youth at-risk, resulting in positive decision making.
Structured programming includes literacy training; alternative educational opportunities; mental health & substance abuse counseling; physical health and fitness activities; and other avenues for developing positive decision-making skills and connections to the community.
Their services are designed to offer at-risk youth the resources and skills they need to reach their full potential and contribute their best to their surrounding communities.
As a Board Member, Dan Gerash participates in quarterly Board Meetings to support PYOs mission to help the at-risk youth in the Denver metro community.
Uplift Internationale is an organization that provides surgeries to indigent children in rural Phillipines born with facial deformities primarily clefts of the lip and palate. Each year, Uplift Internationale conducts a two-week medical mission to provide reparative surgical care to these children. The care is provided by healthcare professionals and outreach personnel who donate their time and expertise in addition to funding 85%-100% of their travel, meal and lodging expenses. The care is provided without cost to the children or their impoverished families and with minimal burden to the host hospitals.
Public Citizen serves as the peoples voice in the nations capital. Founded in 1971, they have delved into an array of areas, but the main goal is to ensure that all citizens are represented in the halls of power.
For nearly four decades, Public Citizen has championed citizen interests before Congress, the executive branch agencies and the courts. They have successfully challenged the abusive practices of the pharmaceutical, nuclear and automobile industries, and so many others.
Public Citizen is a nonprofit organization that does not participate in partisan political activities or endorse any candidates for elected office.
Support of the CCDB Raptor Fund
Established in 1996, the Raptor Fund was created to ensure that the voice of the Colorado Criminal Defense community is heard by state legislators, executive officers and administrators. The CCDB advocates for a balanced criminal justice system that treats the accused and the convicted fairly and justly.
